Tinubu pours encomiums on his wife at 64, says “you’re the love of my life and greatest supporter”

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has poured encomiums on his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu on her 64th birthday, saying she is his greatest supporter and love of his life.

The incumbent First Lady of Nigeria, Remi was born on 21 September 1960. She was the senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District at the Nigerian National Assembly from 2011 to 2023.

The President, in a heartfelt tribute to his wife, also said he could not ask for a better partner to share the triumphs and trials of life.

President Tinubu, in the tribute he personally signed, described the First Lady as his rock, confidante, greatest supporter, and the love of his life.

The tribute reads inter alia: “My Dearest Oluremi, On this beautiful day, as we celebrate your 64th birthday, my heart is full of gratitude and love for the incredible woman you are.

“Since we began this journey together, you have been my rock, confidante, greatest supporter, and the love of my life. Every step of the way, you have shown unwavering strength, grace, and love to me, our family, and our beloved nation, Nigeria.

“You are the heart of our home, the light guiding me through the most challenging days, and the embodiment of kindness and wisdom. Your compassion, generosity, and dedication inspire millions of Nigerians and me, especially our young women, who look up to you as their First Lady.

“On your special day, I want to take a moment to tell you how truly blessed I feel to walk this path beside you. Your love sustains me, wisdom guides me, and strength lifts me. I could not ask for a better partner to share the triumphs and trials of life.

“As you turn 64, I wish you nothing but boundless joy, peace, and happiness. May this year unfold with blessings, laughter, and cherished moments you so richly deserve. I look forward to all the moments we will create together in the years to come.

…As Sanwo-Olu calls Remi a strong pillar of Tinubu

On his own, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, felicitating with the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 64th birthday, described her as “a compassionate woman, kindhearted and a strong pillar of support for President Bola Tinubu.”

He said Senator Tinubu, a former First Lady of Lagos State, who clocks 64 today, is a passionate leader who has impacted many people positively all through her journey in private and public life.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued yesterday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, celebrated the former three-term Senator, saying she has touched the lives of many Nigerians, especially women, since her husband assumed office as president on May 29, last year.

He said: “On behalf of the government and people of Lagos State and my adorable wife, Ibijoke, I heartily congratulate you, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of our leader and president, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on the occasion of your 64th birthday.

“Senator Oluremi Tinubu deserves to be celebrated, especially on her birthday, given the quality and selfless service she has rendered to our dear Lagos State and to Nigeria in different capacities both in her private and public life.

“Over the years, our amazon has etched her name in gold as an advocate of social justice, a philanthropist, a voice of the voiceless and kindhearted person as a senator, when she represented Lagos in the Red Chamber for three consecutive terms and now as First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

A special gift to the nation – Oyebanji

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, congratulating the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 64th birthday, described her as a special gift to the nation and a pillar of support for her husband, President Bola Tinubu, in his efforts to reposition Nigeria as a prosperous nation.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Gov Oyebanji noted that Senator Tinubu has contributed immensely to nation-building as First Lady of Lagos State, a three-term Senator and now as the Mother of the Nation.

The Ekiti Governor said the wife of the President left worthy legacies behind through her New Era Foundation in Lagos State which gave empowerment to students, youths and women and gave them opportunities for fulfillment and to contribute to societal development.

He further credited the First Lady for making a great impact in the Senate from 2011 to 2023 through her advocacy for women’s empowerment, social development, and better life for the physically challenged and vulnerable segment of the population.

Gov Oyebanji pointed out that Senator Tinubu is presently making greater impact through her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) in areas of scholarship for students across the country, economic empowerment, financial support for women in agriculture and the aged.

According to him, the various segments of the RHI has benefitted many citizens of Ekiti State and have complemented the Shared Prosperity agenda of his administration.

Governor Oyebanji prayed God to grant Senator Tinubu long life, sound heath and fulfillment of her wishes and dream for Nigeria as a country and its people in years to come.

“On behalf of my wife, Olayemi, the Government and good people of Ekiti State, we wish the Mother of the Nation, a happy birthday and pray the good Lord will continue to sustain her with good health, and wisdom so as to continue to serve God and humanity,” the Governor added.

A compassionate and selfless leader –  Zinariyan Lokoja

The Zinariyan Lokoja, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has extended her well wishes to the wife of President Bola Tinubu and First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 64th birthday.

Dr Aliyu stated this in a birthday message to the First Lady on Saturday, describing her as a compassionate and selfless leader.

She recounted the countless lives touched by the initiatives of the First Lady, commending her efforts towards rekindling the hopes of the masses, especially women and children.

She said: “On this joyous occasion of your 64th birthday, I extend a heartfelt wish on behalf of countless Nigerians whose lives you have touched through your compassionate leadership, and tireless efforts. Your unwavering commitment to fostering hope, resilience and empowerment amongst the most vulnerable members of our society is truly inspiring.

“Through the Renewed Hope Initiative, you have illuminated pathways for marginalized women and children by providing vital humanitarian services, educational opportunities, healthcare support, agricultural assistance, and economic empowerment. She therefore wished the First Lady well as she celebrates her birthday.
