Buses conveying the second batch of stranded Nigerians in Sudan have stopped half way into the desert, The State Online has learnt.

The buses evacuated them on Sunday night, according to a statement by the National Association of Nigerian Students- Sudan (NANSS).
The 22 buses conveying the students are heading for Port of Sudan, it stated.
But all the buses stopped at Atbara, one of the states in Sudan, it was gathered.
Atbara is about 500 kilometres to Port of Sudan where the students were expected to be airlifted back to Nigeria.
It was gathered that the drivers stopped moving at about 4am and no reason was given.
As at the time of filing this report, the buses were yet to continue the journey.
