Aisha Yesufu, a sociopolitical activist, has reacted to the certificate forgery saga involving President Bola Tinubu.
Yesufu said Nigerians should apologise to Mmesoma Ejikeme, who forged her Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) result, if Tinubu is not removed.
“If Bola Ahmed Tinubu isn’t removed from office, then Nigeria owes Ejikeme Mmesoma an apology and a speedy admission into any university and whatever course she wants to study via a scholarship.

In a video posted on her YouTube channel, the co-convener of BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, said Mmesoma added that the “forgery Mmesoma did isn’t different from the forgery Tinubu has done. The same way JAMB came out to say that the result she’s putting out there is not from them even though she bought the form and sat for the exam, is the same way that the Chicago State University said that certificate that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is parading isn’t from them.
“Forgery is forgery and nobody’s forgery should be more than another’s forgery, if we do not punish Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this forgery that the Chicago State University has come out to say that the document is not from them under oath, Mmesoma shouldn’t be punished too and all the punishment meted against her be reversed.
“Let us know that forgery is no longer a crime in Nigeria and anybody can do it anyhow he/she wants to do it. If we want to be mad as a Nation then let’s be fully and unapologetically mad and replace sense with senselessness.”
She also wondered why Tinubu didn’t deem it necessary to acquire proper certificate since 2007 he left office as Lagos state Governor.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, had embarked on an expedition to expose Tinubu’s alleged forgery.
Atiku had claimed that Tinubu forged the certificate he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
He claimed the president never attended the Chicago State University (CSU).
The president has insisted that he went to the CSU and graduated with honours. In a deposition at US court, the university while admitting that the President was their student, said that the certificate he submitted to the electoral body isn’t from them.
The State Online earlier quoted the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, as having said: “anyone who has taken time to do a thorough reading of the deposition will come to the unambiguous conclusion that the footprints of Tinubu’s odyssey as far as the CSU documents are concerned is filled with profound forgeries and abuse of administrative due process.
“Tinubu’s supporters and spin doctors will want to force the narrative of, at least, ‘Tinubu graduated from the CSU down our throat,’ even when the narrative has no foothold in logic./SHARE THIS
