Following Prsident Muhammadu Buhari’s Ramadan apology, Friday, to those who may been offended by actions of his administration, Nnamdi Kanu’s Special Counsel, Bar Aloy Ejimakor, has charged the president to, urgently free the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and all detained on account of self determination, to prove that his apology is genuine.
In a charge sent via his Twitter handle, Saturday morning, Ejimakor said Buhari’s policy on self determination led to extrajudicial killings, detentions, torture and an infamous extraordinary rendition, for which Nnamdi Kanu, among several others were innocent victims.
He said: “Dear @MBuhari: Your policy on self determination led to extrajudicial killings, detentions, torture & an infamous extraordinary rendition. Prove that your apology is genuine by freeing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu & all detained on account of self determination. It’s your legacy!
The State Online reports that President Muhammadu Buhari had, on Friday, during his Sallah homage by some dignitaries, apologised to those who may have been offended by actions of his administration, urging them to forgive from the bottom of their hearts.
Buhari tendered the open apology while hosting the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja community to his ninth and last Sallah celebration at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Speaking at the celebration attended by key figures in the administration from the Abuja community, led by the Minister of the FCT, Muhammad Bello, the President also thanked Nigerians for tolerating his eight-year administration.
Now, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Special Counsel, Bar Aloy Ejimakor, has charged the president to, urgently free the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and all detained on account of self determination, to prove that his apology is genuine.
