Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) has moved controversial transgender , Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, from the Ikoyi Correctional Centre to the Kirikiri Prison.

This is contrary to reports that Bobrisky is still being held at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre.

According to a very reliable source who is an official of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS), the famous transgender is presently held at the Kirikiri Prison and was discreetly transferred since last weekend to Kirikiri.

Explaining the decision, the source stated, “It is procedural that he is moved to Kirikiri since it is an expansive prison compared to what we have here at Ikoyi.”

He added that due to security reasons, Okuneye was quietly moved to the facility where he will serve his term.

The source further emphasised that Bobrisky was transferred quietly to ensure security, and he will serve his term at the facility. Another source said it might not be unconnected  with the authorities’ quest to reduce his status, as he is often seen raising his shoulders, seeing himself as a celebrity.

It’s worth recalling that Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced Bobrisky to six months imprisonment.

The judge highlighted that the verdict aims to deter others from abusing and defacing the naira.

Despite being identified as male based on his admission in court, Bobrisky’s gender or genital organs haven’t undergone any realignment, according to reports.

The source confirmed that the convict has been placed in the male cell alongside other inmates and will be treated as such during his incarceration.

Before this development, Bobrisky’s traducers were confused as to which gender prison cell to keep him – male or female cell? being a famous transgenger./PLEASE SHARE
