Famous Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has faced public tongue-lash from the brother of her late colleague, Adejumoke Aderounmu, who claimed that Funke ignored his sister during her time of need and only offered condolences after her passing.

Aderounmu, known for her role in the popular series “Jenifa’s Diary,” passed away over the weekend due to an undisclosed illness. 

Funke commented on an Instagram post about the sad news, claiming that she had inquired about Adejumoke. 

Funke wrote, “Sad!!!! @jideawobona I still asked about her. Omg. May her soul rest in peace.”

In response, the brother took to his own Instagram page to appreciate Nollywood stars, Rita Dominic and Sotayo Gaga, for supporting his sister, while expressing disappointment in Funke for not doing the same when Aderounmu was alive.

He expressed disappointment in Funke’s lack of support while Adejumoke was still alive.

He wrote: “You that they called tirelessly, we you no turn up, she even sent Pascal to you, you still no reach out. Why the eye service now when she don kpai? Omo shout-out to Rita Dominic and Sotayo Gaga. Terrible person! If you want to defend anybody, it’s fine. After all there is nothing we can do about it.

“But don’t be a hypocrite by changing the narrative. Nobody is feeling entitled! If you refuse to show love when person dey alive, no dey do eye service when the person kpai, just look away, nobody go reason your matter,” he fumed./PLEASE SHARE
