The Nigerian Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Muhammed Bello Matawalle, and Minister of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edun, have led a powerful Federal Government delegation to visit and commiserate with the government and good people of Plateau State over the recent terror attacks in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladin Local Government Areas of Plateau State.

Dr. Matawalle, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edun and the Service Chiefs were in Plateau State as part of Federal Government delegation.
It would be recalled that there was an attack on communities in three Local Government Areas of Plateau state recently where many lives were lost.
The two ministers with the delegation visited the affected areas of Bokkos and Barkin-Ladin where they held a stakeholders’ meeting with the people of the affected communities.
They also paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Caleb Mutfwang where they held fruitful discussion on how to stamp out insecurity from the state.
While condoling the people of the affected communities, Dr. Matawalle reassured them of the Federal Government’s commitment to fighting all forms of criminalities that have bedeviled their communities and nation in general.
“Mr. President has directed that we visit you people and to reassure you that Military will restore peace in the affected communities and that the perpetrators of this dastardly act will be arrested,” Mr. Henshaw Ogubike, Director (Information & Public Relations) of Ministry of Defence, quoted the minister as having promised./PLEASE SHARE
