President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC), AbdulRasheed Bawa, indefinitely from office.

The suspension is to allow for proper investigation into his conduct while in office following weighty allegations of abuse of office against him. Bawa is also accused of gross indiscipline and high handedness in going about his routine operations as the Chairman/CEO of the anti-corruption agency, in addition to dragging the image of the reputable agency to the mud through incurring a number of court convictions and reprimands and most times resisting lawful arrest by the authorities.
He was directed to immediately hand over the affairs of his office to the Director, Operations in the Commission./SHARE THIS
