Following controversies trailing the paternity of late music star, Mohbad’s son, Liam Light,  resulting from concerned Nigerians accusing the wife, Omowunmi, of open infidelity, African TV CEO, Larry Omodia, has promised to support her with a whopping N10m if she conducts a DNA test on her son to confirm Mohbad’s  paternity.

Omodia, the CEO of African Television, pledged to provide the whopping amount of N10 million to support Mohbad’s widow for an ‘all-expense paid’ DNA test if she agreed.

He expressed the view that a DNA test was necessary considering the numerous controversies surrounding Mohbad’s passing, in addition to the son resembling neither her nor Mohbad.

He asserted that a leaked conversation between Mohbad and Omowunmi during a heated argument made her a prime suspect.

In the leaked clip, the ‘Peace’ crooner levelled serious allegations against his wife, including conspiracy, and swore that she would be held accountable if anything unfortunate were to happen to him.

Omodia said Omowunmi’s acceptance for a paternity test to be done on her son would put paid to every traumatic accusation being levelled against her and most importantly clear her name.

The State Online reports that amidst the ongoing scrutiny into the singer’s demise, fervent appeals have arisen for a DNA test to ascertain the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam Light.

Self-proclaimed Investigative Journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, had earlier demanded for the son’s paternity, particularly in light of over substantial N30 million contributions that have poured in for Mohbad’s wife and family.

Kemi Olunloyo, through her Instagram platform, had called on Nigerians to refrain from contributing funds to Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, until a DNA test is conducted on her child.

She expressed her primary concern about ensuring that Mohbad’s music earnings are safeguarded from ending up in the wrong hand.

Equally, Kemi made bold allegations, asserting that the late singer’s wife had purportedly engaged in amorous relationships with several men within the Marlian fold.

The journalist raised questions about the selective arrest of a questionable nurse and wondered why Wunmi, who she claimed was present in the car with Mohbad’s lifeless body, was not apprehended. She further alleged that Mohbad’s body was taken to a casket vendor instead of a mortuary and claimed that Wunmi attempted a midnight burial, which was vetoed by their community leader.

To cap it off, Kemi cast doubts on the child’s resemblance to both Wunmi and the deceased singer.

Continuing on the African TV CEO’s pledge of N10m support, Larry Omodia said: “N10 million to Mohbad’s wife if DNA proves that the child belongs to Mohbad. African television will pay for the DNA test, raise N10 million for Mohbad’s wife to raise that child if the DNA proves that the child is actually Mohbad’s child.

“This is to counter those people who say, ‘If you talk about DNA, they will sue you for N30 million. Let them come after me. My name is Larry Omodia. I’m the CEO of African Television.

“I’m going to sponsor the DNA test and make sure that the baby gets N10 million if he’s proven to be Mohbad’s child. Why? Because accusation is traumatic. But what is more traumatic than accusation? A life of lies.

“So, we would compensate Mohbad’s wife if the baby actually belongs to Mohbad. But if that baby isn’t for Mohbad, men will learn a lot of lessons from that.

“So, this message is to Mohbad’s family, get me that woman, get the baby; we’ll do a DNA test. If the woman has nothing to hide, she walks away with N10 million; that is a promise. And if you want to sue people for what is right, come after me.

“We are tired of women sending our boys to jail, killing our boys, lying against our men. Do you know how many men are in their graves because of  women? Kings have been buried by women. Future presidents have been put in jail by women.

“It is time that we said, ‘No to slutty women’. And I’m not saying Mohbad’s wife or girlfriend is bad but we want to clear her name. We want to clear her name if she’s innocent./SHARE THIS
