A female writer, E Jean Carroll, who claims the former US presidentDonald Trump raped her nearly three dec ades ago in a department store changing room has told a court: “I’m here to try and get my life back.”
“I’m here because Donald Trump raped me, and when I wrote about it, he lied and said it didn’t happen,” E Jean Carroll told jurors at a Federal Court in New York.
E Jean Carroll is not alone on this. Earlier, Stormy Daniels, 44, a porn star, had said she was willing to testify against Donald Trump in the New York ‘catch and kill’ trial and believes he should go to jail – but not for the crimes involving her.
The porn star at the center of investigation that brought the former president in front of a judge in a historic indictment and arraignment in Manhattan, weeks ago, said she has ‘nothing to hide’, and is the ‘only one who has been telling the truth’.
Among the 34 felony charges against him, Trump is accused of facilitating a $130,000 payment to Daniels through his former fixer Michael Cohen to keep her quiet about an alleged affair the ex-president has denied.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is also targeting a $30,000 payoff to a doorman who claimed he had information about a child Trump allegedly fathered out of wedlock and a $150,000 to former Playboy model Karen McDougal, among others/SHARE THIS.
