Manager of Abuja-Kaduna Train Services, Pascal Nnorli, has reportedly been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) following the leak of a memo warning of the possible terror attack on the Abuja-Kaduna rail corridor.

A highly competent source at the Nigerian Railway Corporation told |Punch on condition of anonymity that the manager was arrested along with the Operations Manager, Victor Adamu, and other staff members.
Recall that the DSS had last Wednesday issued a security alert to the Nigerian Railway Corporation on a plot by bandits to attack the Abuja-Kaduna train link at any possible time.
In a memo signed by the Director of the DSS, FCT Command, R.N. Adepemu, the secret police warned train passengers to be security-conscious.
The NRC source said, “Do you know that they have arrested our manager since last Thursday – the two of them, the operation manager and Pascal. But they have released one of them.
“Victor is a victim of circumstances because they just met him in Pascal’s office, so they arrested him together with all Pascal’s staff and took them to the DSS office. Pascal is still there now.”
The source said the arrest might not be unconnected with the leak of the DSS memo.
Recall that a year ago, an Abuja-Kaduna train was brutally attacked by terror bandits, during which several passengers lost their lives.
Recall that on a Monday night in March 2022, some gunmen suspected to be terrorists bombed an Abuja-Kaduna train between Katari and Rigina axis, leaving hundreds of passengers dead in the attack.
The State Online gathered that during the attack, many passengers were said to have been initially kidnapped, including Zamfara State former Deputy Governor, Mallam Ibrahim Wakkala Liman.
Others were shot dead and an unascertained number of the passengers also sustained various degrees of injury as a result of gunshots.
Rotimi Amaechi, then Minister of Transportation, had disclosed that no fewer than eight persons were killed during the terrorists’ attack.
He spoke on Tuesday while inspecting the site of the incident.
Amaechi said 25 people have been hospitalized due to the attack./SHARE THIS
