What would warrant the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, refuse to hang Nigerian number one citizen, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s portrait in his office as is the custom in official quarters, especially among government offices?

A photograph has surfaced on the social media of what appears like Abia State Governor, Alex Otti’s office, in which the official portrait of the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was conspicuously missing on the wall among other photographs.

In the image, the Governor’s portrait was hanging on the wall on the right, but the left side, where the President’s image was expected to have been hung, was left empty.

Recall that Otti won the election to become Governor on the platform of the Labour Party, making him the only LP Governor in Nigeria.

He had also once called Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, ‘My President’, a situation which many believe may have necessitated the seeming absence of President Tinubu’s portrait on the wall.

The picture posted on Twitter by a user with the handle @DavidsOffor alongside a post, reads: “Abia State Governor, Alex Otti @alexottiofr not having President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s portrait in his office????

“The same Gov that called Peter Obi “My President” in one of his tweets even after the Presidential election!!!”

Nigerians have since reacted to the post by the Twitter user, and offered their thoughts on the refusal of Otti to hang Tinubu’s portrait on the wall in his office.

*@ahyorflexy expressed doubt about the said Governor’s office. He said, “But i saw a frame of the President in his official office, maybe this isnt one of his offices, but lets see how it goes.

*Another tweep,@FemiOderanti said, “It is a matter of time, he will surely mount 100-inch Tinubu frame in his office. That is when Obi is not coming again…”

*@iamegbuna added: “Oga go court nah. Shey una get every judge for una pocket. Run go court, abeg no disturb our peace!!!”(abia news)/SHARE THIS
