The immediate past Chairman of the Governing Board, Niger Delta Development Commission and former |President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide, Lauretta Onochie, has stated that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, will “never be declared” the president of Nigeria, and her reasons are found below.
Onochie made the statement on Wednesday following Obi’s press conference during which he challenged President Bola Tinubu to reveal his true identity.
Obi had, on Wednesday, asked Tinubu to reveal his true identity to Nigerians, amidst the academic records saga of the president at the Chicago State University.
However, in a series of tweets posted via her profile on X account (formerly Twitter), the former presidential aide wrote, “Go home, Peter. You will never be declared president of our great nation. Apart from the simple fact that you came a distant third, you don’t deserve to lead our nation. Your temperament and disposition are not the attributes needed to lead a diverse nation such as Nigeria.”
She lamented that under Obi’s watch, the south-east became a “war zone,” and the economy and property of residents were destroyed. (????????)
“You failed Anambra. You can’t even lead the South-east! Under your nose, the South-east became a war zone. A once vibrant economy built on hard work was destroyed. Lives and properties were ruined. Shelf your desperation. Your ambition is beyond what you deserve. It will never come to pass.”
Onochie criticised the former Anambra State governor’s press conference on the identity of Tinubu, labelling the move as the “most idiotic request.”
This is not the first time Lauretta Onochie will be throwing tantrums on the person of Mr. Peter Obi, prompting keen observers to ask whether she was on a revenge mission for man resembling Peter Obi who may have jilted her in the past or bearing Peter as name; or better still, just waiting for any slightest opportunity to vent her spleen on Peter Obi as a person.
Recall that the last time Onochie poured her venon on Peter Obi, it was a call on DSS and security agencies to arrest the Labour Party candidate without delay for using his followers, ‘Obidients’ to foment perceived troubles over his ‘loss at the February 25 presidential election’./SHARE THIS
