The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kanu, on Tuesday, replicated President-elect Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘emilokan’ saying when he declared that it is his turn to become the Senate President, urging whoever it is concerned to narrow the zoning directly to his village at Igbere, Abia North Senatorial District.
This is even as the APC chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, had, last week, made it public that the ruling party had not zoned Senate Presidency or any other NASS seat to any geopolitical part of the country.
Kalu made this position public while answering questions from reporters at the National Assembly, soon, on resumption of plenary after the Governors/State Assembly elections.
He urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to zone the seat to his village in Igbere in Abia North Senatorial District.
He said with his position as the Chief Whip of the ninth Senate, he is the most ranking Senator from the South East, and therefore, deserves the position./SHARE THIS
