Simon Ekpa, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) renegade and self-acclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra, has rejected the letter written to him by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to end the Southeast sit-at-home exercise, insisting that before he’ll accept its genuineness, the IPOB leader must be released from DSS’ custody to confirm he is still his right frame of mind, apart from him addressing the Biafrans from his base in Finland.
Ekpa who saw the letter transmitted to him by Kanu’s Special Counsel, Bar Aloy Ejimakor as fake, maintained that Mazi Kanu cannot condescend too low to write a letter like the one Ejimakor publicly read, claiming that the IPOB leader must have been misrepresented in the letter.
In his post via his Twitter handle, he noted that the two-week sit-at-home order issue must be adhered to.
The State Online reports that leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, had issued a direct order in his own personal handwriting to IPOB renegade, Simon Ekpa, to end the persistent sit-at-home exercise in the Southeast forthwith, as he (Kanu) said “he started the movement to liberate our people and not to enslave them”. He further ordered him to make this announcement public on him media platform without delay.
In the handwritten instruction entitled “By direct order, I, Nnamdi Kanu, hereby end sit-at-home including Monday sit-at-home and any other proposed sit-at-home,” made available by his Special Counsel, Bar Aloy Ejimakor, the IPOB leader said: “I despise and will continue to despise any person or entity that wishes to inflict unnecessary hardship on our people.
“I have authorized Aloy (Ejimakor) to issue a press statement if you fail to make this announcement on your platform.”
Continuing, Ejimakor said: “The direct order was personally handed over to me when I visited him on 24th July, 2023 at headquarters of DSS, Abuja and thereafter, I tried to contact Mazi Simon Ekpa via his WhatsApp Number but could not until 1:44am the following day, 25th July.
“Since that early July 25 when I conveyed the order and he acknowledged it, he has not implemented the order or otherwise made the announcement on his media platform. Nonetheless, I made a conscious decision by giving him benefit of the doubt by according him more time to do the needful.”
But as Ekpa still remains adamant to obey the order of the IPOB leader, the IPOB headquarters, on Saturday, July 29, issued a confirmation statement authenticating Nnamdi Kanu’s handwritten note to end his “infamous and reckless sit-at-home.”
In a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the group said: “The global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) confirms the authenticity of the handwritten note of our Leader penned to the Finland infiltrator and crime minister instructing him to end his infamous and reckless sit-at-homes.
“It is pertinent to make the message disassociating Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB from the senseless enforcement of sit-at-home public to avoid consequences on innocent citizens.
“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in his wisdom, communicated the message to the infiltrators through the right channel and a source they should trust. The claims that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s handwritten note is fake is part of their mischief to continue in their contract to blackmail IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu with the violent enforcement of the infamous sit-at-homes used to terrorise our people.
“We understand that a power-drunk crime Minister with his inconsequential kangaroo defacto government in exile will ignore the order for the fear of deflating his over-bloated ego.”
He explained that IPOB leadership initiated the Monday sit-at-home in protest of the abduction and inlawful rendition of their leader and to make sure that the Nigeria government arraigned Mazi Nnamdi Kanu openly, in a public court where they could see him.
“But our leader instructed that it be suspended so that we don’t torture our people indirectly.
“In line with the principle of command and control, we obeyed, and the sit-at-home order was suspended. However, infiltrators who don’t believe in the principle of command and control, which is a core value of IPOB, ignored the order from our leader.”
He said Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had sent messages through his visitors at the Department of State Security (DSS) detention camp to the infiltrators to stop the reckless sit-at-home several times, all to no avail.
“Senator Enyinnaya Abaraibe tabled this message in the red chamber of the Senate, what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu told them when they visited him in the DSS custody with Ohaneze Ndigbo delegates in the DSS headquarters Abuja, where he was illegally and unconstitutionally detained in DSS solitary confinement since June 2021.
“When our leader called for complete peace in Biafraland and to protect our people instead of killing them in one of his court appearances, he was referring to the infiltrators to stop their infamous enforcement of sit-at-home orders and enforcement. That call went on deaf ears. This last message in his handwriting is the last straw.”
He said every Biafran must understand the importance of the letter.
“If you are a lover of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, you must listen to him. Moreso, we must stop giving credence to the enemy of Ndigbo and Biafrans claiming to be Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s disciple but has gone ahead to make himself a Prime Minister while his supposed leader is in solitary detention.
“Every Biafran must stop observing any sit-at-home order from the infiltrators. The reckless enforcement and abuse of sit-at-homes is an opportunity for criminals to kidnap, murder, maim, and snatch cars from innocent citizens.”/SHARE THIS
