Jos – Gunmen have killed the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Plateau State, Sylvanus Namang.
Namang who hailed from the Mangu Local Government Area of the State was reportedly shot in the head at Pankshin Local Government Area of the State and he died as a result of the injury sustained from the attack.
It was gathered from the grapevine that the gunmen suspected to be armed robbers killed Namang on Saturday at a provision store in Pankshin town and the owner of the shop was also said to have been killed during the incident.
The State Police Command didn’t react to the development as the known phone number of the spokesman, DSP Alfred Alabo, was not reachable but the State Chairman of the Party, Rufus Bature, told this medium on the phone, “Yes, it is true, he went for a wedding in his village and then proceeded to Pankshin to visit someone. I don’t have the details yet but he was gunned down in Pankshin.”
