The leadership of the Labour Party says it has approved the party’s Electoral Reform Committee members for2024 ahead of the forthcoming 2027 general election.
National Secretary of the party, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, revealing this on Tuesday, in Abuja, said the 17<member committee led by Dr Sam Amadi were carefully selected in their own capacities.
According to him, they are mandated to carry out a wholistic review of the electoral process that will guarantee free and fair elections, leaving no stone unturned, and are given three months to submit their report to the party.
The members are as follows:
1. Hon. Dr. Sam Amadi – Chairman
2. Comrade Ayo Olorunfemi – Alternate Chairman
3. Mrs Dudu Manuga – Secretary
4. Comrade Adekunle Rotimi – Alternate Secretary
5. Barrister Calistus Ihediagwa – Alternate Secretary
